Docosapentaenoic acid

DPA. A fatty acid that has both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid isomers. In its omega-3 form, it is an elongated version of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA).

Relatively little is known about DPA but it has recently gained attention by researchers for its roles in human health. Some studies have shown correlation with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.
