A carboxylic acid found in milk, butter and cheese. It is a product of [ Anaerobic ] In the absence of oxygen, or otherwise the capability or requirement of the presence of oxygen. Opposite of Aerobic. More fermentation. It has an unpleasant smell and acrid taste.
Butyric acid is present in the colin, sweat and is the distinctive smell of vomit.
