Docosapentaenoic acid (DPA)

    [ Docosapentaenoic acid, DPA ]

    A fatty acid that has both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid isomers. In its omega-3 form, it is an elongated version of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA).

    Relatively little is known about DPA but it has gained attention by researchers for its roles in human health. Some studies have shown a correlation with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.
